Keeping Offline Games Without Filling Your Phone

Offline games can be bigger than online ones because they store everything on your device. That's the whole point, but it means storage fills up fast if you install everything you see.

My rule is a rotating shelf of maybe five or six. Before a trip I load up the ones I know I'll want, and afterward I clear the ones I've finished. Games like Tidepool Tales that have a clear ending are easy to remove once the credits roll.

Check the download size before you commit. Some of the prettier titles pull in several hundred megabytes of assets, and a couple of those add up quickly. The lighter puzzle games are great to keep permanently since they barely register.

One last habit: back up your saves if the game offers a local export. It's rare, but a few offline titles let you copy your progress so a reinstall doesn't wipe hours of work. Worth doing before you clear anything you might miss.
